Club History
When the club was first founded, it was the XM-XP Hardtop Owners of SA
Mr Ian Samson founded the club, which commenced in March 1985. Originally, as the name would suggest, it catered for XM & XP Falcon Hardtops (Coupes) only. Membership back then hovered around the 50-member mark.
As the club continued to grow, it then became the Early Falcon Car Club of SA
On the 2nd March 1992, a vote was taken, and the name changed to reflect the club now catering for XK-XP Falcons of all body styles. Further growth and demand within the club then led the club to accept Falcon models from the 1960 XK Falcon up to the 1972 XY Falcon models.
As the club again continued to grow and evolve, it became the Falcon Car Club of SA
On the 9th October 1996, members met and voted and decided to form the Falcon Car Club of SA, which now covered all model Falcons from the 1960 XK to the current model.
The club now welcomes all, makes, models and types of vehicles from cars and motorbikes, to buses and light trucks, regardless of their year of manufacture.
The club now sits at a healthy 250-plus members.
